- When should I reserve my session? The best time to photography a newborn baby is when they are under two weeks of age. You can contact me at any time during your pregnancy to give me an estimated due date (EDD). I PREFER SECOND TRIMESTER. After reserving your session, I will make a tentative booking. Once baby arrives, you should contact within 24-48 hours to arrange a suitable date for your session. Maternity sessions are best photographed between 7-8 months. Ideally between 32-36 weeks; far enough along to have an amazingly full belly to show off!
- How do I reserve a session? Please contact my studio or complete a contact form on the contact page. A paid in full session fee is required to reserve a session. After session is reserved, we will meet for a portrait planning session.
- What is discussed during the portrait planning session? We will discuss additional questions about the session, packages, products, and determine color schemes and props.
- What does the session fee include? Session fees are used to secure your session date. The session fee covers my time and talent during your session, professional hand-editing of images, and access to my collection of specialty handmade newborn items - outfits, headbands, bonnets, props, maternity gowns and backdrops. The session fee is non-refundable and does not include any prints, products, or digital images.
- Do you offer discounts? Promotions are offered throughout the year. I also have a great client referral incentive program.
- Do you provide maternity gowns? Yes! I have a variety of exclusive gowns at no cost to you. I also have some matching dresses for girls.
- Do you have clothing and props for newborns? Yes! You don't need to bring anything to your session. :-)
- How long are your sessions? Maternity sessions are approximately one hour. Newborn sessions can take up to 4 hours. This allows for feeding and comforting. These are an estimate and sessions may take less or more time.
- Do you retouch/edit? Yes, I hand edit each image. Skin retouching is included; this includes tattoo removal when requested.
- How many images do I get? This depends on the package you purchase.
- What if I reserve my newborn session and my baby comes early or late? Remember the best time to photograph a newborn is under two weeks. Call or email within 48 hours of having your baby. This will allow room for rescheduling and adjustments.
- How soon will I receive my proofing gallery? Approximately one week after your session has taken place we will schedule an appointment to review your portraits in person or through a virtual meeting. By this time you will have an understanding of what you are wanting to invest. All parties wanting to partake in the investing of portraits are encouraged to be at the reveal as this will be the only time to purchase.
- Can I print my digital images? Digital images will come in color and/or black and white with an 8x10 or smaller print recommendation.
- How much are your packages? Packages start at $650.
